Treasurer & Co-Founder, South Florida First Responders Foundation, Inc.
Stephan Gruetter serves as the Treasurer and is a co-founder of the South Florida First Responders Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring and supporting the men and women who serve our community. Stephan has dedicated his career to public safety, spending many years with Pompano Beach Ocean Rescue before transitioning to his current role as a full-time firefighter with Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue. His professional experience brings both financial stewardship and frontline perspective to the Foundation’s mission.
Stephan’s commitment to the Foundation is also deeply personal. The passing of the love of his life, Sarah, was a profound loss that continues to inspire his dedication to supporting first responders and their families. Through his work with the Foundation, Stephan honors Sarah’s memory by helping ensure that others facing hardship and grief are met with compassion, resources, and a strong community of support.
As Treasurer, Stephan combines his leadership, resilience, and heart for service to guide the Foundation with integrity and purpose. His personal journey, alongside his professional dedication, reflects the very mission of the Foundation—to stand beside those who sacrifice so much and to make sure they are never left to face life’s challenges alone.
